The beautiful and airy room under the historic skylight at The Greenhouse atrium of The Jefferson Hotel creates an evocative atmosphere reminiscent of a grand room fit for a princess (or prince) – complete with silver serving pieces, intricate mouldings, French dining chairs and an exquisite marble tile floor. The natural light flowing through the room is quite literally the highlight of a recent 3-year long renovation (the skylight had been covered for decades and was re-discovered during construction). It is a stunning centerpiece of the room – and fits with Chef Damon Gordon’s French-inspired menu. We love the feeling of serenity at The Greenhouse, reminiscent of a secret and special hideaway – it’s the perfect place for a quiet brunch, afternoon tea or dessert. Chef Gordon’s brunch menu is thoughtful, varied and entices us to want to try dinner at Plume – the hotel’s more formal dining room.
