Marlene Hu Aldaba has a uniquely discerning eye for artful fashion – as demonstrated in her beautifully stocked store – Hu’s Wear. The exquisite collections are a testament to her great taste and versatility. We love all the statement pieces by Martin Grant, Alexander McQueen and Suno as well as the more wearable but still unique Ter et Bantine and Play by Comme de Garçons. The boutique employees are some of the friendlies and most helpful in the city – they will take time to show you the new collections, share stories about designers or just chat about fashion – even if they know you don’t plan on making a purchase. There is nothing ordinary in this dazzling store; sometimes I like to stop by there just for inspiration, especially since many of these designers can’t be found anywhere else in the city.
